Come take a look at my gallery! I love to take photos of natural things, like plants, vegetables and fruits - but then with a twist, like going way too close to them, or just having some special light on them. I hope you like it :)

Retour au pays XIV by *bwiti is a really cool image. I makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside - it simply brings a cosy atmosphere with it...

My equipment

It's amazing how many people can ask the same question, "What camera do you have?", so here's the answer...

First of all, no, I am not a professional. I haven't ever gotten any education on photography or art - I am 100% an amateur.

I use a Canon EOS 500D with different lenses: I have a Canon EF 28/135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM lens for all-purpose use and then my beloved Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro lens for all my macro photos. To get really close to things when taking macro photos, I use some extra Kenko Extension tubes.

My tripod is a Manfrotto carbon fiber 055CXPRO3 with Manfrotto 488RC2 ballhead.

That's it - ask Google if you want reviews, but to my best knowledge I can recommend all of the above.

The deviantART Linking System

Fri Nov 27, 2009, 12:11 AM

I just stumbled into the greatest concept ever made here on deviantART - the dA Linking System. You can read a lot about it at the profile *dALinkSystem, but for short:

When you upload a new deviation, you search on dA for similar pictures. When you find one (or more) that you like, go there and copy the thumb-code for it. In your artist's comment field, you then paste this thumb, along with a text a la "If you liked my deviation, you should check out this one". Then you'll of course let the person who's deviation you've linked to know about it. This person now gets more exposure that he/she would have gotten without the Linking - and hope is that he/she will also get into the Linking bussines. Result: Everyone gets more exposure of a good kind (you Link to images similar to the deviation you Linked from, so people will probably like the art of the other artist as well).

I can only strongly encourage everyone to use this system :)
