Description

I found a black and gray crow the other day - I think it died because of the freezing temperatures. It just lay there on top of the snow, beside a tiny trail I followed in the woods - and it was frozen stiff. I took a lot of photos of it, but not a lot of them was very good - but for some reason I really like this one. I don't usually make photo B&W, but I think it fitted this one well. Please tell me what you think :)

Please let me approach to the citique like i approached your work...

The first look is dedicated to the over all composition that includes a extremly touching motive.
Just the second look reveals the combination of modern naterials with the archaic theme of death. Originally the death here is presented by his fleshly agent (or one detail of him) which gives me the deep inner satisfaction that even the birds that are commonly linked with the dead himself, are not immune to the last instance.

Technical there are just details that i would do in a other way, e.g. the depth of field would have been chosen a bit deeper form me.
But of course that would end up in a completly other impression of that perfect one, so whatfor?!

Well done!
