Description

This is the Chiese Cattoliche Parrocchiali Ss. Maria e Donato catholic church on the island Murano near Venice. If you're curious, you can see the church on Google Maps here: [link]

I can only encourage everyone going to Venice to also take the short trip to Murano - it's a beautiful place, and there are tons of small glass-makers shops, where you can see how the locals make all of their beautiful glass-art.

I experimented a little when taking this photo - and ended up really liking the fisheye-effect of it. The sky was really beautiful that day :huggle:

As always, please tell me what you think :meow:

What do you think of the colors? Is the fish-eye feel too much, or does it work well? What would you have done differently? All feedback is greatly appreciated, I always enjoy hearing what people have to say, even though what they say might be rough ;)

I love the use of the fisheye in this picture. Most of the time I don't like the fisheye because most photogs allow it to distort the sizes too drastically, but here it seems to me that it is used perfectly to capture the beauty of the sky and the majest stance of the structures. I also like that there is one man walking to the right of the church. It humanizes the picture and gives it a perspective of reality. The belltower, flagpole and arch of the church all look as if they are touching the sky. I like this picture!!!
