The pigeons in Copenhagen are pretty scared of people - not like the pigeons in Paris or other large cities: They don't want to sit on you even if you feed them 
But it is still possible to get close enough to take a couple of pictures, and I had a little fun with that. This pigeon was really beautiful - its dark feathers had a cool metallic shine to them, and that beautiful orange eye!

Originality Technique ImpactFor some reason, when I look at this image I instantly think of emotion. Yes, emotion. The way it was shot captured the very normal, but also very expressive, in its way, "face" of the bird, and I can somehow even tell that it is looking at the camera thinking "What are you doing?" Not even so, it looks like he is looking into you. Reading your thoughts somehow.
Call me crazy, but I can imagine myself being there at the time and feeling all of what's going on around. And, I would like to make clear, I am not on any drugs as I write this. I just think the beauty in this kind of photo can be easily overlooked.
