I bought these wonderful berries after I handed in my bachelors project. Me and my boyfriend (who I also wrote the project with) could finally relax a little before we had to do the oral presentation of it all. So we ate berries and pineapple, and shared a bottle of champagne with my home-made lemonade mixed into it - yum! :la:

But well, before he got to eat anything, I just had to take a couple of photos - and one more small series was born :meow:

As always, please tell me what you think :)

The whole series:

What do you think of the colors? Do they look natural, or over-/under-saturated? What about the focus and the composition? Should it have been cropped another way? Any feedback is greatly appreciated :)

Here are my thoughts. I think the overall concept and framing was great. I like the feeling of depth this photograph gives and the saturation is perfect. I would try to but a small HDR touch to it to make it seem sharper and more in focus, it would also help the shadows and texture stand out. Also, don't be afraid to stage the scene. For example, you could take a pile of blueberries and put one raspberry in the middle then take a birds eye view shot. (I won't be mad if you actually do do that :) ) You could also keep a small spray bottle of water with you a spritz them to give them the "fresh off the farm" feel. I might have also cropped just a smidgen more of the black top off. Other than that, they are all fantastic photos! Great job!

The picture is nice, but it could have been even more interesting and eyecatching. To be honest, I would have liked the photo if it had been all coloured. It would have looked much better, more lively and more tasty. Plus, the blackcurrants would have already been violet/dark blue, (something dark to contrast with the brightness of the red berries). But that's just my opinion.

I didn't remove any color in this photo - the blue berries (not blackcurrants ;)) simply were this dark in color - but thank you for your feedback anyway ;)

First of all, i love the contrast between red and black. I really like the concept. Overall the picture looks very clear and rich of contrasts. There is just one thing i don't like in this picture. The raspberrys look a little dry. I don't know if its just me, but i think it would look better if they are wet. But thats nothing to worry about because it just looks awesome and very tasty :) Sorry for my broken english...

:icongimmefeedback: The color is fine, it might appear to be too intense but that is because it is next to the black blueberries. I like the perspective in this one how the raspberries are in focus and the blueberries become fuzzier and you left the black at the top which adds to the depth too. my eye way drawn to the bright spot on the mass of blueberries after the raspberries i don't know if you wanted that to happen or not.

I think this one is my favorite, as it has a good amount of contrast and the black in the back keeps the balance. Very cool!
